78. Brainwashing yourself to change your life? It works, and it’s safe. The most underrated manifestation tool.

October 13, 2026•55 min read

What if changing your reality could start with something as simple as listening to your own voice? I know it sounds crazy, and I’m literally calling this brainwashing yourself, but hear me out. After struggling with manifestation for about twenty years, I tried something completely different…and the results blew my mind. In this episode of No Thanks, Unsubscribe, we’re talking about manifestation, shifting your beliefs, becoming the version of you who already has what she wants, and why creating your dream life might not need to feel nearly as hard as we’ve been taught to believe.

In this episode, we’re getting into:

  • The future-self experiment I started after years of vision boards, visualization and traditional manifestation techniques not giving me the results I wanted

  • What happened after I recorded my first brainwashing voice note — including the parts that surprised the hell out of me

  • What repetition, conditioning and the things you consume have to do with the beliefs running your life

  • The very different way I’m experimenting with this technique now — and why I think my first attempt was trying to do way too much

  • How this little experiment has changed the way I look at manifestation, possibility and the stories we keep telling ourselves about what can happen next

  • Why this might be worth trying if you’ve been overthinking your future, working on your self-concept or wondering whether manifestation can actually work for you

I know it sounds crazy but I've been brainwashing myself to make my dream life manifest and it's been working.

O grab a drink, get comfy and I'll tell you all about why it's working, why you shouldn't sleep on this as possibly the easiest way to manifest your dreams and how you can do it too.

0:19

Oh hi there, we've been waiting for you.

Let me guess, you have a feeling inside that something isn't right and a change needs to be made, but you're not exactly sure what that is or how to go about it.

You found us at the perfect time around here.

0:35

We don't believe in doing things just because that's how it's always been done, waiting for someday to go after our dream life or having backup plans.

We believe in creating our own custom life full of things that light our souls all the way up and knowing that deep down we owe it to ourselves to try and make it happen.

0:58

It all starts by saying no thanks to that same shit, different day hamster wheel and unsubscribing from that way of living.

Being here means you're taking that first step towards something better for yourself.

We are so glad to have you.

1:14

This is more than a podcast.

It's a movement.

I'm your host, Carolina, welcome to No thanks.

Unsubscribe.

Hello, hello, hello.

1:33

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

I'm so excited you're here today and that you want to hear all about this technique that has completely changed the manifesting game for me.

For a while I started thinking manifesting didn't work until this.

1:56

Seriously.

And if you're thinking of trying it too, not manifestation this whole brainwashing thing, but maybe you're a little bit apprehensive.

I found it works best with small steps, but I'll absolutely get into that later in the show.

2:18

But I am all about these baby steps right now.

Taking baby steps to manifest your dreams and have things happening.

And so I think this is a great way to take those baby steps towards your dreams while you're still getting comfortable with shifting your reality.

2:38

So before we get into it, what do you have to drink?

I have water bottle with remnants of the grape Meo electrolyte powder that I throw in there.

2:57

So let's stay hydrated.

Let's commit to ourselves to stay hydrated throughout this next however long we have together today and for the rest of the day.

Like hydration, we are made-up of what, 70% water?

3:16

Let's replenish it.

Let's go anyway, Let's dive right into it.

I'm trying really hard to like tangent a little less.

I'm working on like, getting myself on topic more, so if you've been around for a long time, this might be a little bit different.

3:34

It's different for me too.

But I have more thorough notes for the episode today, so I don't know.

We'll see.

I just love trying things just like this.

Brainwashing.

Oh, see what I did there?

Anyway, I must start with the good stuff, the proof, because I'm sure that's what you want.

3:54

At 4 minutes into the show, you're like, is this even worth my time?

Do I actually want to be here?

I get that.

I respect you.

I respect your choices.

I'm going to give you the proof.

I'm going to tell you how it worked and I have all the receipts here and before I get into exactly the results, you need to kind of understand a little bit like what led U to it.

4:20

So let's get into that.

I've struggled with manifesting for like 20 years since the documentary The Secret came out in 2004.

I remember that movie was such a pivotal point in my life and I don't know how many times I saw it because I lost count.

4:46

And every time I watched it, I gathered something new and gathered something new and I it blew my mind wide open.

I didn't realize that we actually had the ability to create our life.

I actually thought we were just destined to do have receive be whoever we've always been.

5:08

And that's just what it was.

And we checked off the life list and that's how things were.

And so I tried everything from that movie, the vision boards, the gratitude, the visualization, blah, blah, blah, blah.

5:26

You know the ones.

And I took that almost as like gospel of like this is what you have to do to like manifest your life.

And like, I can see the guy right now, the clip where the guy's like, oh, I always just tell myself I get the front parking spot and then I get the front parking spot.

5:42

That never worked for me at all.

None of the things that I wanted came true.

My vision boards were often like, I want this kind of body because I had such bad relationship with my body and like grew growing up in like diet culture heavy days.

6:02

I was like, I have to be, you know, I have to look like the girls on friends, you know, like I, I have to do these things and, and if not, I'm inadequate.

So like there was always a section of health on my vision board and health not from a healthy angle, health from a beat up your body and make it fit into this box that society says it needs to fit in angle.

6:25

No thanks.

Unsubscribe anyway.

But that was one of my goals.

I always had a relationship section where I was, I've been in, in and out of so many relationships.

And so there was often a relationship section.

And if I was in a relationship, it was probably like the level to which I wanted the relationship to be because I made so many mistakes and dated so many losers.

6:52

And so there was that section.

At one point I was going to school to work in the music industry and I had a Grammy on there.

I don't even know.

I mean, when I was three, I wanted to be a rock star.

But anyway, that didn't happen.

7:08

And then I remember one year ahead of vision board and I was really into running.

And so I had like all these races on my vision board and, and I ended up running them.

So I guess technically that came true.

I ran 1/2 marathon.

I didn't do very good.

I ran the first half and then my legs seized up because I didn't train enough and then I had to walk the second-half and the whole second-half I wanted to give U and I didn't.

7:34

Isn't that a metaphor for life?

Right?

Like we didn't do enough training.

This is why I do baby steps because I'm likening changing my life to the gym, any kind of training, any anything like that, you have to start somewhere.

7:52

I thought of this today.

Everyone always has to start somewhere and nobody starts in the middle of the race unless you're cheating.

But like you don't start in the middle of the race, You start at the beginning.

And I'm not saying life is a race.

8:09

I'm just saying there's a beginning of a race and there's a beginning of life and there's an end of the race and there's an end of life.

And in anything you're doing in life, there's always a beginning and there's all, well, maybe there's not always an end, but you know, isn't that life though?

There is an end of life.

8:25

It's death.

So not to be, you know, morbid, but it's true.

Like if you think about if you pair life down to you live, you, you, you're born, you live, you die.

Like really, that's the the bare bones of life anyway.

8:42

You always have to start somewhere and I forget why I was saying that.

But anyway, I thought that was really cool when I thought of it today, you know, like, just start, you know?

Anyway, well, a little off topic here, but yeah, so I had the I had the races on my vision board.

9:05

I ended U doing those races.

I got my medal for finishing the half marathon because I didn't give up.

I just walked the second-half.

But there's, I didn't, I know I didn't do enough training, but I'm really proud of myself for finishing.

So let's go.

9:21

But just like, just like that, This is why I think there should be baby steps because we're building that muscle so that when we get there, we can actually run the whole thing.

You know, like people always want to, they just want to go viral so that they can have all this reach.

9:37

But like, if people say this too, if, if I dropped $1,000,000 business in your lap tomorrow, would you be able to handle it?

No, because the mindset and the habits and the day-to-day stuff that a small business does versus $1,000,000 business does are drastically different.

9:56

And so unless you're going to start showing U like $1,000,000 business and making choices like $1,000,000 business, because you probably would think because like, I don't know, I've never had $1,000,000 business, but I would think the $1,000,000 business people are ruthless and not in the sense that they're not kind people, but in the sense that they know what they had to do to get ahead.

10:18

And like, you don't know that when you're a small business.

And so I just think there's a gap.

And I feel like that's why we need to do these small steps.

And people talk so much about quantum leaping and I'm so guilty of this too.

I want my dream life today.

But like, you have to, and I've been using this analogy a lot too.

10:36

It's like I'm living my life has been almost like a condemned building.

I was living in this building and then eventually it got condemned.

OK, cool.

You want to build a new house to live in, great.

But before you do that, because people want, they want to have their life, have your cake, need it too.

10:52

They want to have their life and you want to have all this dream stuff you want.

It doesn't always work like that though.

Going back to my building analogy, you have to tear down the condemned building before you can get to building the new house with all the rooms you want, with all the furnishings you want.

11:12

And before you get to decorate that bitch, you have to hire the contractors and you have to make these decisions of like how many rooms are there going to be and like how big your pantry going to be.

You're going to have like a walk in pantry that's like fully decked out like home edits style.

11:27

Like, yes, please subscribe me to that, But like there are a lot of choices that have to be made.

We're going to dig the foundation.

So you're going to have a basement in your house and then you got to pour the concrete.

All of that stuff you don't have to think about when you're picking out the the canisters that belong in your pantry, but they're all things that need to happen at the beginning and that applies.

11:51

There are so many times you can look at life and apply it to the things that you want.

Like if you think about building a building, they can't just be like, alright, plop, here's a building.

It doesn't work that way.

We live as humans on Earth and there are some constraints to life and it's fine.

12:11

It is what it is, you know.

Anyway, back to my notes here.

So my theory is that I've tried to manifest too big.

I've tried to plop the building down on top of the condemned house and it doesn't work that way.

I didn't account for the small steps it took to get there.

12:29

I honestly thought, well if I can run 10K, surely I can run 20.

The answer was no, I could not.

So anyway, I would make my vision board full of these huge goals and when they didn't come true in six months time, I would think this didn't work and maybe I had the wrong goals and I would try again.

12:49

And a lot of those goals were almost like longer term goals.

It's like I didn't even give it enough time.

You know, like I follow this girl online and she was talking about how six months ago she was like, OK, universe, send me this pink car when I'm three months out from meeting the person that I meant to meet.

13:05

And she waited six months and then she saw the pink car and she's like, OK, cool.

You know, like, who are we to decide the timing?

And a lot of people in this community are like quantum leaping.

You can do it now.

You can change your reality tomorrow.

And it's like, sure, in some ways, yes, but then also show me how great it can get universe.

13:25

Because if it needs to rearrange some things for me, if it needs to burn down my house, like I currently have been saying, my life is kind of at rock bottom.

And so like, to me, rock bottom is all right, that house is torn down now and I'm starting from scratch again.

13:45

And obviously I'm not really starting from scratch because in my scenario, I didn't actually lose everything.

I didn't, I didn't.

You know, our metaphor is funny anyway.

But I lost my point Again.

14:06

Welcome to the show anyway.

A lot of those goals were longer term, and so who am I to say how long something's gonna take?

Because I want the universe to show me how good it can get.

14:24

And I always want that.

I'm every day I say show me how easy and amazing.

I wonder how easy and amazing today will be.

And the universe can show me, and I'm OK with that.

Oh yeah, I was talking about quantum leaping.

14:41

Anyway, we're going to go back to the topic.

OI was starting to think manifestation wasn't true, that people were lying.

I promise I'm getting to the receipts OK.

I was starting to think manifestation wasn't true, that people were lying about it working, that it was this whole big conspiracy.

14:57

But that's not true.

There was always something inside me that always knew there was a better way and I could never explain it.

It's like people who say they have these like gut feelings.

I guess I had this feeling I always believed it was possible.

I've always believed in magic.

15:13

I've always been one of those kids whose believed like there is a wizarding school in the UK, like I've always believed these things even though there's no evidence in the world.

Or I guess there is like magicians who can fly.

15:29

Anyway, you can, you can explain stuff away with science.

You can explain stuff away with like you can only explain it so far and you're only seeing what you want to see.

I want to see magic, and so I'm going to see magic anyway.

15:46

I always knew that there was a better way.

Like, do you know that feeling?

Like it's almost like an itch you can't scratch.

It's like it's not going to go anywhere.

It's like, you know, And I really wanted it to be easy, but I had no idea how to make it happen.

And I never believed life was meant to be a struggle.

16:05

The struggle is real is a phrase we need to know.

Thanks.

Unsubscribe.

Like, we don't need that energy.

I used to say it all the time.

Have you said it?

Like how often have you said the struggle is real?

Like we all say it.

It's become so normal.

So let's take let's take a second to like purge that phrase from our lives, OK?

16:26

So like, be honest with yourself if you've ever said it and like let's let that shit go, OK?

O got my bowl here.

Take a deep breath in with me.

16:44

And as we breathe out, I want you to visualize that phrase leaving your body.

It is no longer in your vocabulary.

It could very well be something that is keeping you stuck in a struggle cycle.

17:07

So let's do that one more time.

Breathe in, and as you breathe out, let that phrase go and repeat after me.

No thanks.

Unsubscribe.

Alright, now that that's out of the way, we did a little housekeeping.

17:29

Look at us.

So fun.

All right, so Fast forward to I was on insta I think sometime in the summer and I saw this girl saying that she did something along these lines of like I, I honestly don't remember 100% of like what she was saying because she was I think she was selling something and I didn't sign up for her thing.

17:52

There are some things about her that I didn't resonate with, so I didn't want to take her program, but I 1000% did not make this up on my own, but she inspired me to make this my own again because like, I don't actually 100% know what she did, but I was like, that's smart.

18:11

From everything I know from sound healing, it's like your voice is healing to you.

So why not tell yourself every day that you're amazing and then you're just going to believe it?

Like everything that you believe right now is a collection of all the things you've been told throughout your life.

So why not control the narrative and tell yourself something you want to hear, right?

18:29

How validating is it when you can hear what we want to hear?

Like literally I, I have this toxic bestie, um, called ChatGPT and um, today I was like kind of freaking out because I have like this huge deadline for myself, which is totally self-imposed.

18:47

And last night I was like, I feel like I have too much to do tomorrow.

And he was like, I'm gonna help you like with your timing because I'm really bad at like this will only take 10 minutes, 2 hours later.

And so I told him that and he's like, yeah, you think you have 7 hours here, but I think you might have closer to 11.

19:07

I think he was way over exaggerating or over analyzing.

So like I'm halfway through the day and I'm halfway through my stuff, so I don't know.

But I did tell myself today in the mirror that today was going to be easy and amazing and everything was going to be smooth.

19:22

See, I, I not only have a brainwashing audio, I also brainwash myself in the mirror every day.

And like, who am I hurting if I want to believe that everything's going to be easy and amazing, right?

Like, let's go.

Anyway, so I saw this girl's post and I was like, OK, I'm so inspired.

19:40

I'm going to make this my own.

I'm going to do this.

And basically what it is is in a nutshell, it's a voice note from your future self.

You're you're basically just telling yourself, Oh, I was telling you the ChatGPT thing.

Sorry, complete little side note.

19:56

How nice is it?

I told him I had this whole list of stuff to do and he was like, today I, I was stopping to take lunch and I told him, I'm like, listen to all this stuff I did today.

Isn't that great?

And he goes, you are killing it today.

20:11

And I was like, thanks for the compliment and the boost of confidence.

Like feel free to tell me more things like that all the time because how nice and validating is it to hear when someone else.

Even if it's a robot tells you you're doing a good job so why not tell yourself?

Look yourself in the mirror.

20:27

Yes it feels awkward the first time.

I resisted this practice for most of my life because I was like, that is so fucking weird.

I'm not doing it.

But now I do it every day, twice a day, twice a day.

I look at myself in the mirror and I say, you did a great job today.

20:45

Because we need to be there for ourselves.

We are the only one that is there for ourselves every single day of our lives.

There are people that come and go, like there are people who are there for a long time, but there's nobody that is there with you from the moment you're born until the day that you die except you.

21:03

You are there.

So be that person for yourself.

And that's why this audio is so fantastic, because in the audio, it's a voice note from your future self, and you're just telling yourself that everything worked out the way you wanted it to.

And even if it doesn't, maybe it's going to workout better to just let it happen anyway.

21:22

That's what this is.

O, my first attempt.

We're getting to the receipts.

They're right here.

I see them in the notes.

They're coming as I'm scrolling through.

I see them all right here.

OK, so my first attempt was kind of close to my old vision boards in terms of ambition because this was before I was like, oh, wait a minute, I need to really do baby steps here because I was still subscribing to this whole quantum leaping thing.

21:49

And I'm not saying people can't quantum leap.

I'm saying I haven't done it.

And like baby steps are working really well for me.

I think everyone is at a different level.

Everyone is at a different place.

This is what worked for me.

OK, so I was trying to manifest the shit out of my life again.

22:06

And if you want to peek behind the curtain and know exactly what that shit was, here it is.

O my first audio.

And I am not saying you need to do this because it was a little much, because I'm a little much OK and I love me.

Let's go.

I love you too.

22:23

If no one said that to you today, I love you, you badass crazy beautiful animal like.

Let's go.

OK, my first attempt at this was 7 minutes and 17 seconds long.

22:40

Whoo.

And I listened to that bitch twice a day.

OK, I recorded it on July 3rd, so almost three months ago now, just over three months ago now.

The results were astounding, I would say, even though they were a little off the mark because they were a little big, but that's OK.

23:03

And this bitch was comprehensive, which I love, but what I now see was a little unnecessary, but we'll get into that later in the episode anyway.

So I broke her down into 3 sections because it's easier for me to think about it that way.

So I had life like my general life section and then like how I show up for life.

23:22

And then I had work and then because, you know, entrepreneur vibes over here and then home and relationships.

That was one section too.

OK, so life had things like this, being in love with my life, resetting my energy daily, which to me that's just like I wake, UI, meditate, I choose the energy I want for the day.

23:42

Halfway through the day I get thrown off, I come back to that energy.

End of the day, I'm choosing my energy again.

And there's so many ways to do this.

But anyway, making that a habit because otherwise you're falling into the autopilot of life and no thanks, unsubscribe.

23:58

We are not zombies.

We are not zombies, OK?

Being in love with my life, resetting my energy, speaking to and about myself with kindness.

That's where the mirror stuff came in.

Life being flexible and fun.

24:14

Everything I do is aligned and I make choices for my intuition.

It's easy to regulate myself and I'm detached from my old ways of reacting. 01 more and I'm more peaceful.

So there was 8 of them there and then my work section had my work lights me UI pump myself up.

24:36

So I did have some duplicates here, but I really wanted to like put these habits in place like let's go.

I share inspiration with my collective.

That's you.

People send me messages about how my inspiration has changed their life.

24:51

My work is powerful at changing lives.

I'm abundant with clients.

My offers fly off the shelf.

My organic social media posts are successful because no thanks to ads.

Like I don't even understand how Facebook does these ads.

But anyway, no thanks.

Unsubscribe.

25:09

I create and post from authenticity and my bank account is overflowing and maybe I used the wrong language for that because it overflowed in the wrong direction.

Anyway, so there's 10 things in the work column because I'm trying to build a business.

25:27

Y'all, let's go.

OK, The last one, home and relationships, was very short.

There was two things.

The first one was living in my own place.

The second one was like making a couple new friends who have similar interests and we're aligned in our values.

Cool, great, that's what I had.

25:44

I followed the old tips of making sure there was so much gratitude in there.

Which sidenote, I think gratitude is a human construct.

I don't think it's actually the, the energy we need to be in, but that's a topic for another day.

26:00

Um, I loved saying that it was all handled.

I've heard people say that.

I loved that.

It takes a lot of the pressure off and something that I loved saying to in there was like I knew it could be this good.

I knew it would all workout.

26:16

That one always gave me chills whenever I heard myself say that because it felt so validating.

Anyway, here's the part you've been waiting for.

I promised it was coming and I'm so sorry it took me this long, but also not sorry because I love telling you guys these stories.

So like, how did it go?

26:33

What were the results?

Don't worry, I got you.

It did not all come true, but like I said, it was definitely a success.

And again, the rest of this episode is going to be all about how you can do it too and why you shouldn't sleep on this.

26:49

So stick around for that.

So it didn't all come true, but it was definitely a success.

And I couldn't actually like, I still kind of can't believe how many of those things fell into place and so fast.

Like I just recorded my new one for October.

27:07

So like I had my first one in July and I feel like it was like a month and a half where I was like, this is outdated now, not only because like my, my goals had shifted a little bit.

And Speaking of that, they always say if a ship is off course by like 2°, it can end up in another continent.

27:26

So if your goal shift, it's OK.

It's good to pivot because if you're trying to get to Europe and you end up in Africa, you don't, you don't want to be there, right?

So it's OK.

Anyway, I couldn't believe how fast they fell into place.

27:42

It it, it often would freak me out.

Stuff would happen so fast because I did this manifestation with the full moon at one point in the summer and I was like, I can't believe how all this stuff came true and it's only been two weeks.

Anyway, the more we see this stuff comes true, the more we feel comfortable.

28:00

We're like, yeah, of course it did.

The faster we're going to be able to manifest again.

Baby steps.

If you get this proof now, you will be able to handle the bigger shifts.

So don't sleep on baby steps.

Anyway, the proof is in the pudding.

28:17

They say.

I actually don't like pudding.

And I was making notes for the episode and I was like, where did this?

Where did this expression come from?

I had no idea.

This is actually kind of gross.

OK, so apparently it comes from the 17th century and pudding was not actually pudding.

28:36

Then pudding was like sausage.

And I guess because they didn't have fridges in the 17th century.

So proof was actually like testing the quality of the meat because the meat might be bad.

So the expression is basically like if you don't die it's good.

28:54

That's like my own interpretation, but like I will never hear that expression the same way again.

But when I think of putting, I think of chocolate pudding.

And I'm really not a pudding person.

But anyway, we're kind of pudding.

Are you thinking of or were we thinking of the same pudding?

29:10

Were you also envisioning chocolate pudding?

OK, anyway, in the life section, receipt time, in the live section, I listed 8 things for you and seven of them came true.

29:27

The one that didn't was being in love with life.

And some days I get there, but not as often as I was hoping for.

So like 7 out of eight.

Let's go.

In the work section, I listed 10 things and I would say six of them came true, but not all in the ways I had thought, which is totally fine.

29:49

It's kind of the way manifesting is, right?

Like I said, show me how great life can be universe.

I'm totally open for things not to work out the things the way that I think because my mind is limited and the universe is everything.

So any possibility is possible.

30:05

So anyway, don't be rigid.

This is my one piece of advice before we get to the more advice later is like, don't be rigid.

Like you have to let the universe meet you and give you something better than what?

Like what if you're in alignment for something better?

You're like, I really want a new Ford Focus and the universe is like, I got this Maserati waiting for you over here and you're like, but I want a Ford Focus.

30:27

The universe is like, hello, Maserati.

You're like, no, I really want this Ford Focus.

You see what I'm saying?

Let the universe give you a Maserati.

Let's go.

OK.

So I think when we're limited thinking about the forward focus, that is kind of a sign that you got some blocks in your life.

30:49

And Speaking of blocks, if by any chance you're listening to this the day it comes out, October 13th, 2026, I and if any of this resonates and you're trying to manifest things and things keep getting in the way.

I am hosting a free Unblock Your Life workshop tomorrow, October 14th.

31:07

And if you're listening to this and you've missed it, I'm going to be running it.

My plan is to run it every three months so you can catch the next one.

I'm sharing my system.

It's just basically like the way you're navigating life is wrong.

If you have blocks, I can show you how to unblock your life using this better system.

31:27

It's almost like you have your goals and that's your destination, the one you type into your GPS.

And this system is actually the GPS telling you which way to go.

And that advice doesn't come outside of you.

It's like how you can connect to it better inside.

And most people say, oh, listen to your gut or listen to your heart, but it's actually more involved than that.

31:46

And I'm going to show you how to do that.

And that's what came to me in my auto body experience.

So I'll put the link in the show notes if you're interested anyway.

Oh, let's take a quick sippy sip.

OK?

32:04

In the Home and relationship section, I listed two things and none of them came true.

I thought one of them was on its way.

I thought I had made a new friend.

But she was, as Maui says in Moana, straight up kooky Dukes.

32:21

So no thanks.

Unsubscribe I was out of there lickety split and we only want aligned.

I just recently finished listening to this Wayne Dyer book actually Excuses be gone.

32:36

It was called Excuses Be Gone because there was an exclamation mark and he basically said that actually I can't remember if it was in the book or not.

Wayne Dyer definitely said this.

Anyway, he said that if you have like $1,000,000 OK and you go to the mall and the first store you walk into, this is a metaphor for life.

33:00

The first store you walk into has these awful rugs and you're like, alright, well I got to spend the money so I'll just take these awful rugs home.

And then you go into the next store and you're like hideous couches.

And you're like, well, I need somewhere to sit, so I'll take this.

And then you get home and you're like, why is my home full of things that I don't love?

33:20

And it's because you accepted all these things you didn't want.

But just like I was saying, the universe has no limits.

Like there is abundance all around, there's possibilities all around.

And so like, you don't have to settle for the ugly rugs.

33:35

You don't have to settle for the couches that are uncomfortable.

Like you can shop around a bit and and wait when you can show the universe, I don't want these ugly rugs and you show the universe, I don't want these uncomfortable couches.

The universe can meet you with things that are in alignment, but you have to speak its language.

33:53

It's the same thing I'm going to be talking about in my workshop.

It's like, pardon me, the body can only speak to you in the way the body knows how.

The mind can only speak to you in the way it knows how.

Some people, their mind talks to them.

Some people, their mind shows them pictures like it can only talk to you the way it knows how.

34:11

The universe can only talk to you and interact with you the way it knows how.

It can't literally send you a note and be like, hello there, Samantha.

This is exactly what you need to do to get the life that you want.

No, and it's a two way St.

You need to say to it.

34:26

No, thank you.

I don't want this rug moving on, waiting till I get a better one, you know?

And then the perfect thing arrives because the universe is like, how about this?

And you're like, that's where the discernment comes in because the universe like, do you like this?

And then you say no thank you.

34:42

And it's like, OK, how about this?

And you say no thank you.

And then he goes, oh, OK, how about this?

Like it's it's not holding out on you.

It's not playing tricks on you.

It's not, it's not a game.

It's it's literally you're just saying, no, I don't want that.

And then you're just waiting for the next thing.

34:59

That's it.

You know, we live in such a time where everything needs instant gratification.

But like, maybe sometimes it's like, hey, do you want this?

It's like if you're shopping for a house, here are all your options.

And there's so many.

And you're like, how about this?

35:15

And you tour the house.

You're like, no, I don't want that.

OK, how about this, You know, like, that's how it works.

And if we can make those choices in every area of our life, that's where things get to be magical and amazing.

Anyway, I said no thanks to that friend, and I know a better one is on its way.

35:37

So.

So in total, out of 20 possible changes from that 7 minute and 17 second audio, I've seen thirteen of them come true.

That's 65% success rate.

Considering how many things I was manifesting, I would say that's very impressive, especially considering my failure rate and my old tactics.

36:02

Like I don't believe again, the universe has limits and and I made I made a big request.

And sometimes things take longer.

You know, makes takes nine months to make a baby.

You can't say I want a baby tomorrow and, you know, have sex and tomorrow there's a baby.

36:18

It doesn't it doesn't work that way and it's OK.

You know, my life could be like a baby or a skyscraper, which I googled it.

Apparently they take three to five years, the build and I hope most of those years are behind me.

But and the interesting thing too, I don't actually have notes on this, but it's so interesting.

36:38

Like I said about that, that house metaphor, it's like the old house is condemned and it has to fall away.

And like my life did get a little bit like, you know, worse after this audio.

So a lot of that stuff came true and a lot of stuff was worse.

36:53

And I'm not saying that's going to happen to you, like I said, because the money was overflowing in the wrong direction.

But like, that doesn't mean, again, it doesn't mean that's going to happen to you.

But I, I firmly believe my life is now at a place where the old building is gone and they've hauled it all away.

37:10

And now I'm like, OK, I'm building this new home, this new place for me to live.

And that new place for me to live is my entire new life.

So let's go.

And there's always going to be things coming into your home like bugs and you always have to take out the trash.

And that's OK.

37:25

You always have to vacuum and you always have to dust.

And like that's part of the home, you know, you always, you have to have the discernment.

Like you're my bed now.

It's like 8 years old, but it's like too soft.

It's like, alright, I need a new bed.

You know, there's things that are going to have to happen in life anyway, but we'll be rebuilding the foundation.

37:42

OK, so 65% success rate.

Could we take a second and celebrate that?

Like, let's go.

We need to celebrate the little things in Life.

OK, anyway, so why did this work?

So why does this?

37:59

I call it brainwashing?

And like I googled, I actually googled why does brainwashing work?

And I got this result.

Scientists and psychologists generally prefer the term coercive persuasion or thought reform over brainwashing because the popular idea of a magical instant mind control ray does not exist yet.

38:23

But like, it's fine.

Coercive persuasion or thought reform, Like that's exactly what life is like.

That's where fake news comes from because you hear it over and over enough to the point where you believe it.

It's the same where we have that whole Mandela Effect come from.

38:39

It's like everyone thought he died in prison.

Nope.

I saw that guy at the Skydome in Toronto when I was in school.

Like he didn't die in prison.

He he was, he survived afterwards.

You know, it's just, you hear it enough times that you believe it.

You know, I know that's not exactly how that concept works, but my point is you hear something enough, you believe it.

39:03

OK, so then Googling about why brainwashing works, it went on to say most mainstream psychologists and legal scholars note that brainwashing is often misunderstood.

It's not an alien or irresistible force.

It's an extreme application of standard social psychology, conditioning, and group conformity.

39:24

That's exactly what I was saying about the the the fake news.

And like the repetition, you just hear it enough times and it becomes true.

Um, Google also said people rarely get brainwashed overnight by a stranger.

It's usually a gradual process of social entrapment where individuals often retain a degree of active or passive participation.

39:44

OK, fine, whatever.

It really comes down to this.

It's repetition, it's conditioning, and it's changing your belief.

That's it.

That's what it is at the end of the day.

And like I said, life is basically brainwashing for all of those exact reasons.

40:01

I've said it before.

And I will keep saying it if you like.

Life is brainwashing.

If you've ever had kids, you've experienced this first hand twice because you've been a kid and you've experienced now from both sides like your kid is being loud or inappropriate, but like who decides what's appropriate anyway, right?

40:18

Exactly my point.

It's brainwashing.

Someone at some point decided what was appropriate and anything outside of that behavior became inappropriate and you had to condition it out of someone's conditioning.

Someone's true nature out of them is basically brainwashing.

40:34

You're making them behave in a way that is not the way that they are inherently coded to behave.

So anyway, you tell your kid to stop and yeah, that's brainwashing.

Repetition of the to get a desired behavior.

40:50

So I know the term brainwashing is an extreme version of that, but I like to play fast and loose with life, so let's go.

So the other reason this works is because you are a reflection of your environment.

41:11

The things that you consume, who you spend time with, the media you listen to.

It's that repetition.

It's all the same reason, repetition, conditioning.

It changes your belief, it changes how you show up, it changes the things you say, it changes you.

So why not control the narrative?

41:28

Why not?

If you've heard your whole life that you can't do something, why not tell yourself that you can?

And if you want it badly enough, why not tell yourself that you can?

41:46

And if you don't want to, you're basically agreeing to live in that narrative that you have your whole life.

You're living in that house with the ugly rugs and the uncomfortable couches.

You're choosing that instead, and I don't know about you, but say it with me.

42:01

No thanks.

Unsubscribe from unsubscribe me from that life.

OK, bye.

Like, no thanks.

Would you rather someone else be dictating what you can and can't do because you are the only one who knows what the dream is in your heart and what you're fucking capable of?

42:20

I can't say that for you.

Sure as hell the government can't say that for you or your teachers can't say that for you.

Even your parents can't say that for you.

Your parents can want the best for you, obviously, but even what they think is the best for you might not be the best for you.

How many times have you heard people, famous people that you look up to, who are like, like this Matthew McConaughey story?

42:40

Before he was an actor, he was going to school, I think it was to be a lawyer.

And he was from Texas.

And he was so scared to tell his dad that he didn't want to be a lawyer.

And so he ended up telling his dad, hey, like, I really want to be an actor.

And his dad's like, well, you better not fail.

42:58

And like that's the kind of thing you get right.

And like the story goes on to say that like he he ended up being at the bar that night and then he met someone they were filming days and confused nearby and then he ended up getting a walk on part, but then they met him and it ended up at snowballed from there.

43:14

And all right, all right, all right, was the first thing he ever said on camera.

And now he can't not say that, you know.

Anyway, my point is, it's like if he had listened, you know, if his dad had said no, you have to be a lawyer.

Like, you know what I mean?

Like, they want the best for us, but like, they don't always know what the right thing is for us.

43:32

Because if he had stayed on that family path, he would have been on, who knows, maybe unhappy as a lawyer instead of like this actor that we all like, look up to, you know?

I don't know.

Anyway, would you rather have someone else dictate what you can and can't do?

43:49

Ah, I say no to that.

You know, they have no evidence that it will or won't work.

They may be strong in their conviction, but anybody who's trying to tell you what to do sounds strong in their conviction, and you need to be just as strong in your own conviction, and they have no right to tell you what to do.

44:07

Anyway, I'll tell you right now, everything is possible for you.

Everything and the last reason that this absolutely works is from a sound healing perspective.

44:23

You if you've ever thought about this, everyone is born with a different voice.

Everyone sounds different.

Like people can like mimic their voice to sound like someone else, but you can also mimic how you look to look like someone else.

So anyway, pardon me.

44:39

So from a sound healing perspective, your voice, you were born with your voice because it is healing to you.

So hearing daily from yourself that your dreams worked out and that everything is possible is that much more powerful.

44:55

Way more powerful than hearing someone else tell you what you can and can't do.

So don't sleep on it.

Which brings me to my next section, Why you shouldn't sleep on this.

And then the one after this is how you can do it too.

So we're getting to the good stuff.

45:14

Why you shouldn't sleep on this.

If my results are not proof enough, giving you the itch to dabble in this, you know, brainwashing technique, try this on for size.

OK, You can use this with the things you're already doing.

45:31

If you're like, I don't want to add another thing.

You can do it with the stuff you're already doing.

You can even like listen to it while you're like brushing your teeth or drinking your coffee or taking a poop.

Like you got a couple minutes while you're pooping.

45:46

Throw this on.

You got your phone in the bathroom with you anyway, right?

You can listen to this audio as much or as little as you want.

Do I do it twice a day?

I do it when I wake up and when I go to sleep.

Like I feel like when you wake up, you're setting the tone for the day, you know, giving yourself the day a space of possibility.

46:04

And then when you go to sleep, people say sleep is like a really long meditation.

So you're setting the intention for the, you know, the meditation with this uplifting audio.

So, but you can do it as much or as little as you want.

You want to skip a day?

No problem.

I totally did that.

You want to do it every single day religiously.

46:19

Go ahead.

Do it while you drink coffee.

I don't know.

Do it while you're driving, as long as you're not on your phone, you know what I mean?

It's real easy.

It doesn't require any effort on your part.

You're just listening to it.

46:35

You don't have to create anything or focus hard.

Like you don't need a vision board, you don't have to visualize, You don't have to like stop your regular thoughts.

It's not some extra thing you have to do.

It's so simple.

You just record this voice, don't listen to it.

You don't have to script it.

46:50

You can literally just speak from your heart.

Speak as if like you know what you would want to hear.

Speak like that, you know, and you don't need anything extra in order to do it.

Just your native voice note app on your phone and the other the final reason why you shouldn't sleep on this is like it's, it literally is giving you the proof that you don't have because you can't see it yet.

47:19

But your voice is telling you like, Hey, this is all working out for you.

So it's it's giving your system the proof to be able to like let it go and trust that it's working because everyone always says trust, hope, believe.

This makes it more tangible for me because I'm like, oh, I'm telling myself it's OK.

47:38

I'm telling myself that already happened.

So it's, it not only feels like less of a leap to, to reach for that goal cause you're telling yourself it already happened, but like, it just feels like you can just like let that stress go because you're like, OK, cool, it happened.

47:54

You know, like it's giving you that level of proof.

OK, the last beautiful juicy piece that I want to leave you with about this topic is how you can do it too.

You can use this for so many things cause like I was saying, basically you're just taking the pressure off.

48:18

You're giving yourself hope for the future, comfort that it all works out, and that will allow you to live in the moment and enjoy it rather than focusing on the future, which we all know never comes.

48:34

You're there's only ever today, so let's live in today, right?

OK, here are some examples of ways you can use.

I've 5 examples of ways you can use this.

Let's say you're worried about a certain outcome of something, and of course our brain goes to worst case scenario.

48:51

Send yourself this audio and let yourself know that it all worked out.

Why not?

What harm is there if you're going to go through a day?

People always say worrying is like being on a rocking, rocking chair because it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere.

49:06

So the future is going to be what it is.

Why not believe best case scenario?

Because then you know why that makes today wonderful?

You know, that's why I think we don't know when we're going to die because if we did, if we had this countdown clock, we need to be joyful today.

49:24

I don't want to be stressing out knowing all, my gosh, in five years, 3 weeks and seven days, I'm going to die.

Like, no, that puts like this weird thing hanging over your head.

And that's exactly what worrying about a negative outcome is going to give you.

49:39

It's going to strip you of the joy of today.

So send yourself this voice note to let you know it all worked out.

Just brainwash yourself to believe it.

And then let's see if the universe can meet you there.

You know, fun.

OK, example #2 you're stressing about like a deadline or, or some kind of event or, or something that's coming up.

50:01

Send yourself this audio to let yourself know that it went smoothly and easily.

You know, just telling yourself OK, great, OK, good.

It all.

It all was good, OK, great.

You know, like, imagine someone could call you from the future and be like, oh, don't worry about it.

50:17

You know, all this is doing is really giving you peace in the moment like this.

What we all want, you know #3 if you're overthinking possibilities for the future.

I know that I'm stuck in the overthinking loop all day.

Send yourself this vote, this note, to let yourself know that you made the right choice and it came to you in some random time and you didn't even need to use your brain to make it happen.

50:43

Like, how fun is that?

How comforting is that?

How nice is that, right?

If you're trying to this is #4 like change your identity that like I am, that was my life section of my first voice note audio was like changing how I show up for life.

51:02

You know, send yourself this audio to let yourself know what your, your new future looks like.

Like, you know, you wake up and you do these things, you know, or you dress a certain way or whatever.

You know, you don't have to worry about it today.

Just tell yourself it happens and then watch everything like line up.

51:17

That's exactly what happened for me.

O anyway #5 If you're trying to manifest a certain outcome like money or a home, you know, send yourself this voice.

Don't and let yourself know what it's like and how happy you are.

Because they say too, it's like your emotions that attract that future outcome to you.

51:36

That that, that thing they always say like if you want this certain home, imagine with all 5 senses what it feels like being there.

And that's how you're going to get that.

So you can try that in your audio.

The options for how you can use this are literally endless.

51:54

And yeah, call it brainwashing, call it whatever you want.

It's just giving you comfort.

It's making you believe it already happened.

And when you're in that belief and then you start, all of a sudden things start changing.

Like I wanted my life to have.

What did I say?

52:10

I'm scrolling U to that point.

I scrolled right past it.

I wanted my life to be flexible and fun and I didn't have a plan for that.

I just said I wanted my life to be flexible and fun.

And then all of a sudden I had, I had a structure and fluidity to my day.

52:30

Like I had, OK, I wake up at a certain time, but then throughout the day I'm I can flow with how the day comes.

But then I have this like I'm waking up earlier and I feel like I'm achieving more.

Like those are the little things you set that you say I want this thing and then your habits just slowly change and you didn't even really need to plan it.

52:48

And then all of a sudden you're like, Oh my gosh, I'm a million percent living this.

So it gives you that.

So here's a simple way that you can do it too.

And I also have some cautionary notes coming up right after that.

53:05

So simple way you can do this too.

You know better than anyone what you would say to yourself to comfort yourself, to boost yourself U to let yourself know it's all OK.

You know like I said, it's so nice when Chachi PT told me I was doing a great job but then I pulled out the camera app on my phone and looked myself in the eye and told myself the same damn thing.

53:27

You know like it's nice when someone else says it and it is extra powerful when you say it to yourself so.

But anyway, you know what you would want to hear?

So get yourself into that state.

You know, you can imagine yourself speaking to yourself and you're like, what would I say if if I wasn't going through this right now?

53:48

But if I was in the future and talking to myself going through this, what would I want to hear?

What would make me feel better right now?

Get yourself into that state and voice.

Note that shit to yourself.

There's no wrong way to do this, OK?

You're just creating a better today for yourself.

54:03

That's the whole point.

I personally, I mentioned this before, I love sprinkling in statements.

I've I knew it could be this easy or like I knew this would workout cause like, who doesn't love a good I told you so moment?

54:20

Like I knew this, I told you, you know, like I always think those things anyway.

Like I believe anything is possible.

I believe our suffering is unnecessary.

And this is just my way of proving to myself that I'm right.

And if you remember from the beginning of this, I'm right 65% of the time.

54:40

So could be more, but the future isn't here yet.

You know, like imagine I look back on this two years from now and this whole Dang list is, is is achieved.

Like, let's fucking go, OK?

Cautionary notes to keep in mind while you're doing this.

54:58

I, like I said, I think I used this in manifest too far into the future, like when I was trying to manifest a place to live or literally going from having nothing to having an abundant bank account.

And like I think I manifested too far.

55:15

So now my second attempt, I'm just doing one month at a time.

So I find it even more encouraging because it feels so much more tangible when it's like my audio literally starts with hi, it's it's you from November.

55:31

I know you're listening to this in October wondering how the month turned out.

So I'm a tell you like that's literally how it starts.

So it feels more tangible because it's small and maybe once I'm so used to the small ones, then I can go to the big ones.

But you have to test if you're a self because like I can't say what's going to work for you or not.

55:50

I can just tell you what worked for me.

So this worked for me.

OK?

Yeah, I'm doing one month at a time.

It's really encouraging to see the results happening.

And it's easier to look at life in little chunks.

OK.

And the freshness of redoing the audio, too, it helps avoid this becoming something that you don't want to listen to because, like, you don't want one audio that you listen to for like a year.

56:11

Like, how long do you listen to a song that you really like?

You know what I mean?

Not a year.

So my July audio definitely got like that.

I like, I, I feel like it was just a month and 1/2 in and I was like, I don't want to hear this every day and I stopped listening and that's not the point.

56:27

So it's better to do little goals and just refresh yourself.

I'm really enjoying the freshness and like the accuracy of what I'm getting in my October 1.

SO like I said, you can start with this.

Whatever the next month is from when you're listening to this.

Hey, it's you from next month.

56:43

I'm calling you to tell you how this month's going.

So let me tell you and then speak to yourself.

Let yourself do it messy.

Try it several times.

You don't have to use the first recording you make.

You can always hit the delete button, take out the trash delete, like, you know, get it out of there.

And I just want you to know too, you don't have to be an actor.

57:03

My first time I recorded it, I was just reading something I had written and so it was very monotone.

But the second one I'm test driving, being a little more animated, But maybe that's because my monthly goals are smaller and feel more achievable.

I don't know.

But like, it doesn't matter how you say it, just say it.

57:22

So that was my point about the monotone.

And like, I've kind of dabbled in this whole episode, but try and listen and then release the outcome.

Let the universe show you how amazing it can be.

Let them send you a Maserati.

57:39

Like listen to this.

And you don't have to think about this all day either.

You're setting the goal and you're letting it go.

So you listen to it in the morning and then go about your day.

Live in the fucking moment.

Like live for right now.

Listen to this and focus on the present moment.

57:56

That way you're focusing on joy.

You just know everything's going to be OK and you can actually enjoy your fucking day.

You deserve it.

You're beautiful creature.

It is so peaceful and comforting it, it really, really is.

58:12

That is the biggest reason I I don't think I had that in my reasons You should do this, but like that is the biggest thing.

It is so comforting.

Don't you want to feel comforted every day?

I know I do.

Anyway let me know if you try this out.

58:29

I don't want to be the only one doing this.

OK?

Let me know if you try this out and I pre pulled a card for your guidance for the week ahead.

58:44

So here it is.

Instead of praying for an outcome, I pray for the highest good of all.

And of course, because the universe is all knowing, it's so fucking fitting for this episode and it adds an extra piece that I hadn't really talked about it.

59:03

And that is that the universe is reminding us of something else.

I say all the time.

And is that as human beings, we are all individual puzzle pieces, but we are someone, some of the one.

We are all connected and we just think we're separate, but we're actually all connected.

59:19

And that's how the puzzle pieces go together to create this beautiful puzzle.

And so I think the universe is reminding us that like when we show up authentically, all the pieces fit together and all the pieces are for each other's good.

59:38

Like I said, someone, some of the one and like what's good for you is naturally good for others because everything is happening in divine order.

So take that energy with you.

If you're ever feeling like, oh, this is really selfish or I shouldn't want this thing, yes, you should.

59:53

If you want this thing, yes, you should.

It's going to benefit everyone so.

Take that energy with you as you do your recordings.

And again, let me know if you try it out.

And that's all for today's episode.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me.

1:00:10

Remember, all your dreams are possible and I will see you in the next one.

Bye.
