Episode 76 Use rock bottom to turn your life around, don’t give up

76. Use rock bottom to turn your life around, don’t give up

September 22, 2026•57 min read

If you feel like you’ve hit rock bottom — or you’re exhausted from setting the same goals, trying to change your life, and somehow ending up back in the same place — this episode is for you. Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t dreaming bigger. It’s figuring out why, after everything you’ve learned and everything you’ve tried, your life still doesn’t look the way you want it to. I know that feeling intimately. After 20 years of self-help, personal development, goal setting, manifestation, mindset work and trying to become the version of myself I know I’m capable of being, I’ve reached a point where I’m calling it what it is: rock bottom. But I’m not giving up on my dreams. Instead, I’m using everything I know — plus the tools we have access to in 2026 that simply didn’t exist when I started this journey — to run a year-long experiment: Rock Bottom to Dream Life in 365. If you’re ready to stop endlessly starting over and finally understand what might actually help you move forward, grab a drink and come hang out with me.

In this episode, we’re talking about:

  • Why you can know exactly what you want and still struggle to actually create it

  • The cycle of setting goals, falling off, starting again and wondering why nothing seems to stick

  • Why taking action and doing the reps may matter more than constantly learning something new

  • What 20 years in the self-help and personal development world taught me about why change can be so hard

  • Why trying to completely transform your life overnight can make your biggest dreams feel even further away

  • How the tools available to us in 2026 are changing the way we can approach goal setting, habits, personal growth and life transformation

  • What I’m doing now that I’ve hit rock bottom — and why I’m turning the next 365 days into an experiment in building my dream life from here

I'm really embarrassed to share this, but I've hit rock bottom and I'm not giving up on my dreams.

If you feel like you're at rock bottom in your life, this plan could really help turn things around for you too.

You're going to want to stick around.

In today's episode, I'm sharing how I've combined 20 years of self help knowledge into a plan that I've never seen combined before and I'm experimenting on myself to turn my life from rock bottom to dream life in 365 days.

0:28

So grab a drink, get comfy and let's get into it.

Oh hi there, we've been waiting for you.

Let me guess, you have a feeling inside that something isn't right and a change needs to be made, but you're not exactly sure what that is or how to go about it.

0:46

You found us at the perfect time around here.

We don't believe in doing things just because that's how it's always been done, waiting for someday to go after our dream life or having backup plans.

We believe in creating our own custom life full of things that light our souls all the way up and knowing that deep down we owe it to ourselves to try and make it happen.

1:12

It all starts by saying no thanks to that same shit, different day hamster wheel and unsubscribing from that way of living.

Being here means you're taking that first step towards something better for yourself.

We are so glad to have you.

1:28

This is more than a podcast.

It's a movement.

I'm your host, Carolina, welcome to No thanks.

Unsubscribe.

Hello, hello, hello, and welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome.

1:49

Welcome to today's episode of the No Thanks Unsubscribe podcast.

I am your host, Carolina.

I am so glad to have you.

And did you know we've been heard in 78 countries like we're one month away from our two year anniversary on this show.

2:13

I so proud to say that.

So proud to have you all here and to help share different ways of looking at your life, different ways of turning things around so that you don't have to settle in your life either.

2:33

Because that's it all was born for me from a place of like getting to know myself of like, what do I even want?

And do I actually want to do these things and like just radically rejecting everything.

And so I hope to inspire anyone who's on that same journey.

2:52

You are so welcome here.

Thanks so much for being here.

What do you have to drink?

I am drinking tea, it's a little bit on the cold side since I've been like setting everything up.

I have like a new mic placement today thanks to some beautiful soul online who does audiobook narrating and she told everyone watching the video how she records and we'll see how that goes.

3:20

A little bit unrelated, but our detours on this show also have valuable tips is what I'm told.

And I'm so honored to host these detours.

My life is a series of detours.

3:38

I guess everyone's life is a series of detours.

Have you ever thought about how, like we have these goals in life?

But like, like, every time I've ever looked at my dream life, I've always thought of it as like a destination.

But like, there's always so much more.

3:55

Like when you get to the end of the movie and it's like, and then they lived happily ever after.

Like, OK, but how like, tell me that, you know, tell me more.

That's what your life is like.

It's like the movie is just a chapter of a book.

It's, it's not even your whole story at all.

4:12

And that's one of the ways that turning my life around.

This is going to be different because I'm not looking for an end result because like, if you really think about it, the end result of life is 6 feet under and I'm not putting that on my vision board even though I know that's coming in the future.

4:32

It's like a reality of human life, right?

So like, maybe we've been looking at it wrong.

Like maybe if you're the kind of person who wants a designer handbag and like a Rolls Royce, maybe you have those things on your vision board.

4:51

And like, maybe I'm sure I'm not alone being someone who looks at these things as like an end result.

And it's like, I never want to be on a hamster wheel in life.

So like, my goals will always be changing, The things I want will always be changing, the things I want to do will always be changing.

5:10

I don't want to do the same thing day in day out, so I can't look at a vision board anymore and think of it as an end result.

It's just one stop, 1 detour on the road of life.

So that takes a lot of the pressure off of manifesting off of trying to get towards your goals because it's not an end result.

5:32

It's one stop.

Like, oh, I'm going to get on this, get off here and I'm going to experience.

I've never been on a cruise, but I imagine it's like that where like life is the cruise ship and you're going from port to port and you're like, oh, now I'm here and I have these things.

5:48

And now I'm here and I have these things.

And like, now I'm over here and I have these things.

And like, maybe that's what we need to look at our goals like because I never really looked at them that way.

And like I have another analogy for that too.

And we'll get into that in a minute, But let's take a sip.

6:09

This tea is so good.

It's Stash brand.

That's French Lemon, ginger, citron Jacob.

That's what the French side says.

Welcome to Canada, ladies and gentlemen, where the packaging is bilingual.

6:30

OK, so I'm going to do that.

Reading a passage from my book again at the end of the episode instead of a card pull, because I was so lit last week.

It gave me life.

So we're going to do that.

Let's get right into the topic.

6:47

Let's not beat around the Bush, get in the car, the tunes are blast, and let's go on this next ride that we have together.

So rock bottom for me.

Rock bottom's gonna look different to everybody, but I'm so open about my journey.

7:04

Even when things are really hard, I'm really open about my journey.

I, even though I'm embarrassed to say it, it is what it is.

It's part of who I am.

Hiding these things to me is like burying things in a box in the back of the closet.

7:21

And you never look at that.

And like, I'm not about that life.

I am all about like minimizing the physical clutter in your life because the physical clutter is just a physical manifestation of your inner world anyway.

So if you have things in your physical world that you don't even want to look at, that is a sign.

7:39

There's your sign.

Like that is your sign that there's something going on inside of you that you need to work on, that you need to identify.

And if you've been around for a minute, you know that I've talked about my process that came in my out of body experience.

7:54

My, it was originally the inner sound check process and then it went through a bunch of other names.

But I had a download in my meditation the other morning that a very visceral way to describe my process.

8:10

I called it a manifest meditation for a while, but it's it's a process.

And what I saw in my meditation was to call this now the name really is irrelevant.

The name of what I call this thing that came out of my out of body experience as irrelevant.

8:26

But a physical way to look at it is it's your human GPS.

It's literally like to continue this analogy of a road trip, if life is a big long road trip, your inner compass, you can call it that, but like this different way of looking at it that came from my out of body experience.

8:47

It's literally your GPS.

And if you have things you're not looking at in your closet, things that you refuse to look at, things you refuse to address, this human GPS is exactly how you find out what those things are.

So I'm working on a workshop that I'm going to be doing to teach the human GPS literally walk you through it in a simple way because I'm not about I'm, I'm in the middle of this five day workshop where I'm learning tips and whatever for social media and like it's five days and it's 3 hours a day and it's all in a row.

9:25

I am not about that life.

Like it's run by a man and he is such a sweet soul with such a big heart.

And I feel like the way a lot of men approach things is very like hot and heavy and like, let's go and we're doing it all and we're doing it now.

9:40

And I am not about that life like I used to be about that life because I thought that's what you had to do.

And now with this new plan that I've put together with my 20 years of self help knowledge is not about hustling for the sake of hustling.

9:58

It's more like balancing getting things done, balancing information, balancing doing things in a way where you're getting what you need, but also honoring yourself.

And that's kind of the philosophy that the human GPS comes from too.

10:17

It's just like these inner checkpoints, and like a lot of the checkpoints we do on the every day, but we're only doing a section of it.

If you think of each piece, there's six pieces.

If you think of it like a pie, pie.

10:33

Who wants pie?

Now I'm thinking apple.

What pie do you think of when you think of pie?

So fun.

Anyway, I can't get apple pie.

I'm gluten free.

It's like less challenging to get gluten free stuff these days and it tastes really good.

10:48

But like there's specific apple pie, like if you're from Ontario, from Southern Ontario, and if you're not, look this place up the Big Apple, you can see it from the highway.

It's like this giant apple and you can go in it.

You can go up it like it's, it's like a tourist attraction.

11:06

It's one of those like world's largest, I don't even know, maybe it is the world's largest apple.

I'm not sure.

But they also have a bakery in there and they make gluten-free apple.

I think it's pie.

It might be a crumble top.

Like the base is pie and there's apple in the middle and crumble on top.

11:22

I'm literally making myself so hungry right now.

Anyway, I hope you are too.

You're welcome.

Pie is delicious.

We need delicious things in our lives.

OK?

I'm not about diet culture.

11:38

Like, we're not about that around here.

Like if you like.

And in no shade if if that is something you're leaning on at all.

I personally believe that.

Again, life is about balance.

So if you want to have a piece of apple pie, have a piece of apple pie.

Don't torture yourself, but then using your human GPS because I used to like binge using my human GPS to actually learn my fucking limits that I never knew before.

12:06

It's a game changer.

It's an absolute game changer.

And then you don't have to rely your brain's not full of all this useless information that actually cause like I actually, I have a certificate in nutritional therapy.

So like I've done a lot of research into nutrition and I didn't learn this in school, but I learned this recently.

12:23

Whereas like 1 human eats an apple and another human eats an apple, even though an apple is supposed to have X amount of calories technically, because we're all different and unique.

When I eat an apple, it's a different amount of calories than when you eat an apple because your body is completely different than mine.

12:42

And so even though they're telling us what calories are, it's still a rough guideline.

It's not a hard number, so that's why I unsubscribe from dieting also because I think the key to living a healthy life is being in a state of joy.

13:03

When you're binging and stuff, you're just replacing stuff that's missing in your life with food.

So that's when you can use your human GPS to kind of dig into that.

Um, but I really think that there's so much joy in random things in life, Food, clothes, adventures like fillet colouring, like filling your life with things that bring you joy to me is the secret to life.

13:33

It is.

So everything about life is so simple, so simple.

We overcomplicate it as humans, end of story.

We overcomplicate everything because that's what our brains do.

They want to think, they want to compute, and especially in this society that we've been raised in.

13:50

Anyway, I digress, let's get back to rock bottom.

So rock bottom is going to look different for everyone.

Obviously.

For me that really hit because I had to apply for social assistance.

So two years ago my ex-husband, he was supporting me while I I quit my 9:00 to 5:00 so that I could be an entrepreneur because I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur but I didn't know what that looked like.

14:19

And then I started doing something that was literally adjacent to my 9:00 to 5:00.

And I was a virtual assistant in case anyone cares, and I was doing that.

And I was like, I still hate this.

And I was like, OK, maybe it's the work.

14:35

Like just because I have experience in this doesn't mean it's something I actually want to do.

Like I've known this from the very first job I had.

I worked at McDonald's.

Shout out to McDonald's crew.

Like loved working at McDonald's, but I hated that they made me work the cash and it I don't like dealing with money.

14:57

I don't.

I really don't.

I always felt so much pressure to like, count the money on the spot.

And then my brain wasn't working and like, getting people's change and like, I just didn't want to do it at all.

But I had to.

Like, that's where they put me.

And I didn't speak up for myself that way in the past because I was raised with this belief of like, take what you can get.

15:21

And I always was outsourcing my power in terms of like, if someone else gives me an opportunity, I should be grateful or like, that's the universe giving me an opportunity.

But now I don't subscribe to those beliefs at all.

Anyway, so from that moment, because I had experience running cash, then I went through all these different jobs where I was a cashier.

15:47

It was all these like lateral moves and I always hated it.

And then I ended up going to school to work in the music industry.

And guess what?

I ended up doing the like accounting piece.

Not the accountant, more like a bookkeeper.

But I ended up doing that stuff and the HR.

16:03

But like, I'm such a creative person that like, I was so stifled, but I took what I could get and I just did what I did anyway.

There's always this like, I don't know, take what you can get element, unsubscribe.

16:22

No thanks, unsubscribe anyway.

So I had to apply for social assistance this week.

And that was really challenging because like I said, my ex-husband was, oh, yeah, I remember now where I was.

16:41

My ex-husband was supporting me while I was trying to figure out what my dream was.

I didn't want to be a virtual assistant anymore.

I wanted to figure out what my dream was.

I was doing mindset coaching.

And she was like, what do you see as your most successful self?

And I was like, I'm standing on stage talking to thousands of people, and that doesn't line up with any of the jobs I've ever done.

17:04

This does.

Maybe that's why I'm just so fucking stoked that this show's been around for two years.

I tried to do another podcast with my friend a while ago and, like, life was weird and I had to stop for a while and then we just never picked it up.

17:19

But like, I'm like, picked it back up.

But I'm so glad to be here and be doing this because I love it and I'm learning so much.

I've learned so much in these past two years and I'm not going anywhere.

Let's go.

Anyway, I tried a bunch of different things to kind of figure what my dream was like.

17:42

I was really into event planning, so I tried to do printable party packs on Etsy.

And anyway, I tried a bunch of different things and then I was like, duh, go after the goal of speaking on stage.

And I was like, I want to write books.

17:58

I want to help people.

I've known since 2016 that I've wanted to help people, but I had this limiting belief of like, who's gonna listen to me?

And then at some point within that journey, because that started in 2020, it's 2026 as I'm recording this at some point, it was during COVID and Tony Robbins and a bunch of his friends, I guess, did this online like webinar.

18:26

And someone in that webinar said, you're not speaking to even the guy in this social media thing I'm doing right now.

He said the exact same thing, just different timeline, which is interesting because I feel like he's 25.

So he looked at it.

He was like, speak to the person, speak to the version of you that you were two years ago because you have experience getting from there to here.

18:48

And it's so true.

It's absolutely true.

And then the Tony Robbins seminar, the guy who was speaking was much older and he was like, speak to the version of you 10 years ago.

O you're just, you know, if you don't know what to do, speak to the version of you that was there.

19:05

You know, would you have liked having help at that point in your life?

Yes, please.

Absa fucking lutely.

So anyway, I decided to start going it all in on that, but I actually feel like having him was like a crutch.

19:21

And then when he left, I thought that was rock bottom because I was like, what am I going to do?

Because society will often say well get a job and figure it out.

But I felt like getting a job would have delayed things even more.

19:36

And so I chose to live off credit and now I'm $50,000 in debt, which is also an embarrassing thing to say, but I've been in more debt than that.

And I, I was debt free and now I'm in debt again.

And I always say this, and I always say this, I always say this, money and life in general is like a wave.

19:59

It comes in, it goes out, it comes in, it goes out, it comes in, it goes out.

It doesn't stay the same.

And if it does.

It doesn't stay like that forever.

The sea can be still, but then there can be big tsunamis and there can be tiny little waves that just hit the rocks gently.

20:21

Life is not linear.

Life is not always the exact same thing.

Things are always ebbing and flowing.

OI feel like that with finances anyway.

But I think he was a crutch, and I think having a credit card and a line of credit became a crutch too.

20:39

And now there's nothing left, which is why I had to apply for social assistance because I still have like, bills to pay and everything has been shifting still as I've been evolving this journey.

But I feel like getting a nine to five would be giving up, and I'm not doing that.

20:58

I don't want to play by the rules of society.

I'm done.

No thanks.

Unsubscribe.

Society loves to fall back on this nine to five thing, but I don't think I'm built for a nine to five.

I think I'm built for entrepreneurship.

21:15

Whether that is maybe becoming an audiobook narrator down the road, because I've had multiple people in my life tell me that I have a good voice for this kind of stuff, which is really cool to hear.

Um, you know, it's always nice when other people recognize things for you, but it's also really nice when you can recognize things for yourself, which is where the human GPS really comes in.

21:41

And you can use that to literally identify the blocks that are in your way.

I don't know if it'll work for crutches cause like I didn't realize my ex-husband was a crutch that I was leaning on him.

I actually think it could be a crutch.

21:56

But there's also other things in my plan for this 365 that it comes down to like poor execution function.

I don't know if that's the same thing as executive function.

I don't think so anyway.

Poor execution.

I would make the plan and then I wouldn't execute the plan because back then there was also no AI.

22:18

So you're like, well, I want to speak on stage, but how do I even get there?

And what do I even talk about?

And who's going to listen to me?

Oh my gosh, lions and tigers and bears.

Oh my.

Like, that's what it, that's what it feels like.

The way your thoughts swirl around and you're you're panicking and and then you just end up falling back into old habits because that's where your system feels safe.

22:40

But like, there is nothing safe about rock bottom.

I'm sorry there is not.

So I have a list of all the things that I think get in the way.

I don't have crutches on here, but I made a list of the things that were getting in my way and the things that I've heard of in my 20 years in the self help world and my mindset coaching and my somatic coaching and my sound healing coaching and like all of that, my even nutritional therapy.

23:14

Like I've learned so much and, and in this growth world, you know, so I will share these with you.

I eventually want to make like a webinar on all this too, so you can get clear on all these things.

And if you want to change your life too, you can follow this path.

23:33

I think it's, it's really paths like this that someone can layout for you that just help makes like, please don't spend 20 years like I did trying to scramble around and figure it out.

Like I don't want to gatekeep either, you know, That's why we're do it here.

We do it live.

23:49

Let's go.

So things getting in your way, Actually, before we get to that, I have another note here and I mentioned it earlier and I kind of touched on it now, but this is the thing that was getting in my way.

24:06

I was saying about the executing.

I have this analogy that I've been using and This is why I think I've failed because I've always been goal oriented, always.

I'm always a list person.

24:22

I'm so good at knowing where I want to go.

I'm just not as good at getting there.

And that's what this plan is going to change everything because there's no point in having a goal if you have no way to get there.

There's no point and that's how this is going to change.

24:41

And this is what I was doing wrong.

It's like, OK, I am a previous runner.

I ran 1/2 marathon.

I never ran a full marathon.

I ran 1/2 marathon training for 1/2 marathon.

I even failed at that.

The most I ever ran was 10K and a half marathons. 21 KO like I got halfway.

25:01

I would run 5K like local, I would run 10K's and I wanted to do a half marathon.

I wanted to challenge myself.

I signed up for the big one in Toronto, went down.

I had other friends doing it too.

We ran around the city.

But here's the thing.

25:18

If you've ever run or if you've never run, you'll understand this analogy.

If you are a couch potato, those people always, they write these plans of like couch to 5K, right?

When you learn how to run, you have to, you can't.

25:38

You don't have the capacity to run a marathon yet when you're a couch potato.

So when you start doing any running program, you start with intervals.

You walk for a minute or two minutes depending on your ability and then you run for one minute, 2 to 1/2 to 1/2 to 1 and you just do that and then you build it U1TO11TO11 to 1 and then maybe it's walk for one, run for two.

26:11

Anyway, you have to build U your capacity because you are a human being and you only have the experience that you have and that applies to everything.

You go to school to learn how to be a doctor because you don't have the training.

26:27

Training to run is the same thing as mentally training for a profession or anything.

You have to put in the reps, you have to put in the training.

If you want a deadlift £150 you can't just stand there and pick U the £150 if you've never lifted weights.

26:43

You need to know the technique, you need to build U to it.

Like there's so many things involved and it's easy to put this to exercise because you physically know if I can only lift a 5 LB dumbbell, I'm not going to go out there and curl 50 lbs like you.

27:02

You have to work up to it.

And if you try and do 50, maybe you can do one, maybe you can do 2, but you're going to be very sore the next day.

And what happens?

You're sore.

You take a longer break than you would have if you slowly worked up to it.

The longer break puts you back into your old habits, puts you back into your old life and you don't move forward because then you end U back in your old habits and your comfort zone and then you're stuck.

27:29

And it's because of a lack of training and conditioning.

And now in 2026, we're using the tools that we have available to us and my brain that collected all this information and we're putting it all together so that we can actually start achieving your goals.

Because what I used to do is couch to marathon instead of couch to 5K.

27:49

Not actually when I was running, but as far as my goals were concerned, it was always couched to marathon where I'm like, I hate my life, my life sucks, I want my life to change.

And then you're focused on these big goals and your system is like, well, how can I feel comfortable in this new reality when I'm in this old couch reality?

28:08

And you want to be in this marathon reality, but nothing in your current reality is supporting that new reality.

Reality, reality, reality.

So the new thing that we're going to employ, employ Alley, I don't know.

28:27

Both I don't know is micro goals, which I've never done before because you look at a vision board and someone's like it's my dream home and like it's I always had, I always had my dream home.

I had I wanted to win a Grammy at one point when I was going to school to work in the music industry.

28:46

I don't know how that was ever going to work.

I had my ideal relationship on there.

I had my ideal body on there.

But we need to get to the root so that another problem is the reason behind the goals.

29:08

Actually, I don't think I have that written down.

I'm I'm I'm a write that down.

The reason behind it?

Because at the end of the day, you, you have these goals because you want to feel some type of way by achieving them, right?

29:34

Like it doesn't matter that I don't have any money.

But when you have money, you feel a lot more free because you can pay for things and you can go do things and you have more opportunities.

So that's actually how I want to feel.

29:50

I don't actually care how much money is in my bank account.

I really don't, but I want to be able to pay for things.

I want to be able to do things.

I want to be able to go places, and you need money to do that in this world.

30:06

For some reason, I don't know who thought that was a good idea.

I don't, but you have to have these little goals because trust me, Couch to Marathon had me failing every single time.

30:28

I don't think a single thing came true on my vision boards.

I don't think they ever did.

It's because my goals were too big and I didn't have micro goals to get me there.

And I always had this belief that everything happened for a reason and the dream is in your heart for a reason.

30:49

And I always say that and I fully believe that.

I still fully believe that.

But I also think we need to take action to get there because the universe can only like there's that quote and I don't know if it's in the book.

It's definitely an E pray love the movie.

And she talks about this, this guy who kept praying, Please let me win the lottery.

31:06

Please let me win the lottery.

Please let me win the lottery and then some.

I don't know who spoke to him, but someone was like the universe, like I can only help you so far.

Please go buy a ticket.

Like that was the moral of the story.

And the the actual moral of that story is you have to take action towards your goals.

31:26

If your current life, if you're not doing the conditioning and the reps that you need to get to running a marathon or like lifting the weights or like living that $1,000,000 life, you can't, pardon me, you can't actually get there.

You have to put the work in.

31:43

And that's where I say like, I have completely failed myself, absolutely, utterly and completely failed myself every step of the way because I put everything in the hands of the universe.

I put my power in the hands of other people, other people recognizing my potential, other people telling me what jobs that I can do, other people even supporting me, even with my ex-husband, like other people doing these things for me.

32:07

And I don't want that for myself anymore.

So I need baby goals to get me to the big goals.

So when I say that I'm going from rock bottom to dream life.

Also like I said in the beginning, dream life is not a destination.

32:22

This version of my dream life 365 from now is not an end goal.

It's just a checkpoint and maybe I stay there for a year or a couple years, or maybe I bypass right past it.

I don't know.

But like dream life for me, like my goals are to be happy, to be healthy, to be able to pay for things, like to have my own place.

32:45

Like I don't care what that looks like.

I mean, I do a little bit.

I wanted dishwasher.

I'm so done washing my dishes by hand.

But like, you know, like, yes, I guess I do care a little bit.

33:01

But like it's the feelings beneath those things that are going to be my dream life.

Like having those feelings, being happy, being surrounded by people who love me and I love them and like having fun in life and being active so that I can, I don't know, having adventures like this is what I this is my dream life.

33:20

It is not tangible things like I don't care about designer handbags.

I don't at all.

At all.

That means absolutely nothing to me.

If it means something to you, cool, that's cool.

33:36

No shade at all.

It just doesn't mean anything to me.

And it doesn't have to mean something to me for it to mean something to you.

They're completely separate, so that's how I'm doing goals differently this time.

And so this will be different this time because of conditioned increments, smaller checkpoints, taking action steps like I'm taking.

34:03

In the past, I would have been, I would have decided I'm doing rock bottom to dream life in 365 and I would have just started and fumbled my way through it and then failed.

What I'm doing now is I'm giving myself a setup time before I actually start because I need to set these things up.

34:20

What are my actions going to look like for the first month?

I want to set that up before the clock starts because I'm setting the foundation.

It's like the thing, if you want to be a runner, you're not going to strap on your high heels and start running.

You need running shoes.

34:36

You know you're not going to put on a suit and start running.

Maybe you are classy ninja.

What a like if you watch American Ninja Warrior, that guy runs in a suit.

But like, that's not the point.

I'm not saying you can't.

I'm saying typically you wouldn't.

Typically you would be like, OK, if I want to start running, I'm going to go buy some running shoes.

34:54

I'm going to buy some running clothes.

I'm going to buy a good running bra because you need to be supported.

All my ladies know what up.

This tea is so good by the way, I love it so much.

Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

35:12

It's caffeine free anyway.

You set U to be able to do something.

You maybe it's maybe it's sunny, you get some running sunglasses or you just wear your sunglasses that you already have.

You get maybe a hat.

35:27

You know, you need some sunscreen like you need things before you can start.

So that's another way this is changing.

You're setting the foundation before.

I've never done that before.

We're setting the foundation and it's not an act of delaying because you could look at it that way, but I have no choice.

35:48

It's either stay where I am and be absolutely fucked or make a change and I am so done letting myself down because at the end of the day I've been trying to do this for the last six years and I feel like I have severely let myself down.

36:08

Now.

I have to say too, I'm not being hard on myself.

I don't actually feel doom and gloom and regret when I say that because I love myself.

And I also believe that life needed to teach me some things, maybe throughout these last six years in order for me to be ready.

36:27

For now, people are always out there saying that ready, you can't be ready, just do it anyway.

But you still need to set these foundations and stuff because they're like, ready is not an actual feeling.

I completely disagree with that because I actually feel ready.

36:44

If you had talked to me in 2016 and I had been like, yeah, I want to talk on stage, but who's going to listen to me?

Someone was like, start anyway.

I would have been like, absolutely fucking not because it was too terrifying.

And I think energetically and for your nervous system, you need things to feel comfortable in order to move forward.

37:06

Because I think from what I understand from your nervous system and energy work and all that stuff, if you're fighting against it and you're not making it feel comfortable, it's not going to stick because you're always in this fight or flight mode.

And that's not good either.

So we're not doing that.

37:23

So we're doing the conditioning, like conditioned increments for this new life, smaller checkpoints, action steps, y'all.

Can I just say how much I miss having a plan?

Like the last few years of my life too, I have not wanted to have a plan because I was exploring what it was like to live in flow, to like flow between my interests and flow between things.

37:45

And just as a manifesting generator to respond to life.

But like, you can have a plan and respond to life is what I've learned.

And I love a plan.

I love a list.

It lights me all the way up.

So stick with me and I will help you with all your lists and all your planning needs and we will get this shit done for you because around here we do not settle.

38:13

Can I get an Amen?

Can I get a Hallelujah?

Alright, we're going to have conditioned, conditioned conditioning ourselves for this training, smaller checkpoints, action steps.

We're going to do our identity work to anchor in this new identity, which is literally what I've been doing is like brainwashing myself.

38:36

Because if you think about it, you've been told who to be your entire life.

That's literally brainwashing.

At the end of the day.

Someone told you you had to go to work.

You had to work a nine to five.

Well, guess what?

There's people out there making a livable wage doing stuff where they have a lot more freedom.

38:54

So no, working a nine to five is not the absolute only thing.

And like you've been told your whole life that you can only do, say or be certain things because the people around you believe those things and it's all they've ever known.

And that's fine.

But like, if you have an itch that that doesn't align for you, that's because it doesn't align for you.

39:13

And some of us are meant to learn things differently.

Like I am the kind of soul who came to this life existence who needed to learn everything myself.

I couldn't have a family that was going to show me everything that I needed and learn it from a young age.

39:32

I don't think it would have sunk in.

Like, I am the kind of person who needed to learn things myself.

I did it my way, Frank Sinatra.

Like I had to literally do things my way.

I had to learn things my way.

That's just how I am, and I guess I had to fail gracefully.

39:49

And glorious, glorious failing.

Oh, how awesome is the word glorious, by the way.

So good anyway, but the identity of the woman that I was growing up is not the identity I'm taking with myself moving forward.

40:05

O I'm using this future self version audio that I'm working on a Mad libs version that you can do it to.

And I listen to that twice a day and it's anchoring.

It's literally my future self being like, girl, you would not believe how amazing your life is.

40:23

Let me tell you about some of the things because I can't tell you everything, but let me tell you about some of the things that we do on The Reg that is absolutely fucking fantastic.

And like, you hear that in your own voice and you hear that as a lived experience.

40:42

It becomes your new identity.

You're like, yeah, you don't.

You're unbothered by someone telling you what to do because you know you're sovereign and that shit doesn't affect you anymore.

Like, you have that to look forward to.

Keep doing the work because you're going to get there.

Like that's the kind of pep talk you get from your future self with this kind of audio.

41:00

It is so good.

I have chills.

I have chills just telling you about it.

Like, it is so good.

So it's identity work you're anchoring into because that's who you're going to be.

And we're doing energy work to anchor in because your vibration, the things you say, the way you think about things, the way you approach your tasks, the way you approach even, this is a frequency.

41:21

And I love the radio metaphor.

If you have a radio and you turn on the radio and you're listening to the country station, but you would rather be listening to the rock station, what do you do?

You turn the dial, you shift the frequency and it picks up the rock station instead.

41:38

And you have to be on the right frequency or you're not going to get rock, you're going to get classical or you're going to get off.

And so you need to be that.

That is such a physical representation of how our life works.

You just need to be that right frequency.

And that's where people would say, oh, it's your mindset.

41:54

It's not just your mindset.

This is where the human GPS fills everything in for you.

It's not just your mindset, it's also the words you're saying, the way you talk about yourself, Yes, the way you think about yourself, yes, But it's also like the way you treat yourself.

42:11

And it's also the emotions that you're, you're feeling and like emotional hijacking and like all those things and like your relationship with source and your relationship with your soul and all those things.

There's, there's surface level ways and then there's deeper ways to get in.

42:27

And I've been experimenting with it for the past two years and it's absolutely liberating.

It's so liberating.

And it just gives you that guidance that you need.

Like I'm done outsourcing everything.

My human GPS gives me every single answer I need anyway.

42:45

Energy work because we're shifting our frequency and all of those things make it U.

But also when you do, you don't even need like I'm a sound healing person and like I love sound healing, but you don't need to go to a sound bath because guess what?

You were born with the voice you were born with because it's healing for you.

43:03

So not only if you hear these brainwashing audios will that help you, but also you can just hum.

And that calms your vagus nerve like just like coming.

You don't even have to chant ohm.

I love chanting ohm.

43:19

But if you just hum your voice at any natural frequency and you just feel that hum for 5 minutes, just hum and you'll just feel it.

You just become calmer.

You feel into gravity and you just sink into the chair beneath you and you just settle in.

43:34

Like that kind of energy work list coupled with the identity work anchors everything in and then I'm working on a whole library of audios that I'm calling ause and push play.

So like when your old identity OU because I have all these like triggers, everybody has triggers, right?

43:51

Everybody has triggers, doubts, limiting beliefs, blah, blah, blah.

Those things pop up and we have all these tips and tricks from therapy, and that's great.

Or you have all these tips and tricks from social media, but do you ever remember those in the moment?

Because I don't.

So I'm making a series of audios so when that thing pops up for you or when that thing pops U for me, I've already have like I have a bunch of them already and I'm going to make them public because I can't be the only one who struggles.

44:20

If someone tells me what to do, that somehow I internalize that to mean I have to do what they're saying.

But this audio literally talks you through like hey, so someone just told you what to do.

That really stinks, doesn't it?

Like feel how you're feeling.

Allow that to feel, you don't have to do what they're saying.

44:37

I'm here with you.

Just feel how you're feeling and then walking you through, moving on, like that kind of stuff.

So I have audios to help anchor you back into the, you know, you have the daily audio that anchors you into your new frequency, but then you also have these other audios to lean on when your old identity pops up.

44:55

And then the biggest thing that is going to make this different is I'm being brutally honest with myself.

So like, not only being honest with you that like I applied to social assistance and I'm in debt $50,000 and like I'm 40 years old and I'm living with my mom and like blah, blah, blah.

Like I'm being brutally honest with myself.

45:13

Like I get triggered when someone tells me that I need to do something even though I know I don't have to.

Like I still get triggered or like I get emotionally, I go from zero to 60 when I can't even think of an example.

Just sometimes I'm on edge and like my emotions just run off the charts.

45:31

And like, those kinds of things are the brutal honesty that you need in order to make this plan.

Because now I'm getting into all the things I've written down here, the things getting in your way, you can't get them out of your way without being aware of them by using a system like the human GPS to really dig into like, what are my blocks?

45:51

What are my limiting beliefs?

But not only that, but like being open to finding out what those things are and being open to letting them go.

And maybe you're not able to let them go yet.

And I have a lot of things that I haven't been able to let go of.

Like I'm not perfect at all.

46:07

That's why I'm here at rock bottom.

But like committing to yourself that honesty.

Like committing the honesty that you can make your life better and that you're going to do everything you can like and that you want to dig into it and and find out what's going on beneath the surface.

46:27

Open that closet, find that box that you don't even want to look at and look in there.

That's the brutal honesty that's going to get you to your dream life.

Because the things in your old life that are hiding are the things that are keeping you in the way.

So here's my list of things in the way blocks.

46:44

And they're all going to be addressed in my plan moving forward.

And to be quite honest with you, I don't actually have the full plan in place yet.

This is literally written on the piece on the back of an old thing that I was going to, like, recycle, but I like, I love recycling.

46:59

So it's like written on the back of an old calendar that I'm not using anymore.

Yeah, it's from January, February, March, April 2025.

So like, it's just an old piece of paper I've written on.

And I just wrote all these notes.

It just came to me.

So the things in your way, the things blocking your dream life.

47:17

And I have a really glorious, really terrible acronym, DASHIK.

DASHIK DSH IC these are the things getting in your way.

So your doubts slash limiting beliefs.

47:36

I call everything dreams of her doubts.

It's a blanket term for me.

Your doubts include your limiting beliefs because the things that you believe are true for yourself that are not actually true for yourself, or maybe they're things you've never actually tried.

There are the things getting in your way where you're doubting whether or not you can do that thing.

47:55

So your doubts, the next one is social influence, and that is things, society, family, friends.

Because something that I'm exploring throughout this process is maybe I'm not a morning, maybe I'm not a night person.

48:11

I've always thought I was a night person.

I like staying up late and doing things.

But the the reason here's the brutal honesty.

I have to take a drink.

My throat hurts so much.

The reason I've been a night person is because I was doing jobs I hated.

48:29

So I would wake up exhausted, do a job that I hated, and I'd be so tired all day.

I would drink so much coffee to get myself through the day and then I would come home and then I would have to do things like laundry and whatever.

And then when I finally got to relax, I didn't want to go to bed.

48:48

I wanted to actually do the things that I wanted to do.

And so I would stay up late, then I would go to bed and then the cycle would continue where I would be exhausted because I stayed U late because I that's the time I had to do the things I actually wanted to do.

49:05

Because I don't want to live on a hamster wheel, even though it was a hamster wheel anyway.

So I'm exploring the possibility and, and everybody, pardon me, everybody in my life was kind of like a night person.

They would stay up later.

49:22

And so if I saw other people staying up later, it felt like permission for me to stay up later.

And so, you know, it felt normal.

And when something feels normal, like a lot of the stuff in our society, we all think it's normal to have a government, but that doesn't mean it's the best thing.

That doesn't mean it's the right thing.

49:40

It's just the thing we've been conditioned for.

It's the social influence.

So one of the things that I want to get brutally honest with myself because like I always get tired around like 8:00 PM.

And I was thinking recently because I've always also had like an itch to get up early.

49:57

I love getting up early.

I love being at the store when no one's there.

I love going first to like the farmers market and stuff, and I love going for early morning walks and stuff.

And so I was thinking maybe I'm actually a morning person and maybe I've never tried because I've never allowed myself to consistently go to bed early.

50:16

And whenever I get tired around 7738 o'clock, I push through and then I get a second wind and then I can't go to bed at like 9 or 10 because I've missed my, you know, natural tired window.

And so I'm going to experiment with that.

50:32

I'm going to see like maybe this social influence that made me a night person or, or what I thought could be some hybrid nap version where like I go to bed late, but then I don't get a full 8 hours and then I just nap in the afternoon.

Like I don't want to do that.

I've never been a napper.

50:48

I always feel more tired when I nap.

So I really don't want to be a napper.

I've resisted that idea too, but I also don't want to be tired.

I know how important sleep is to our body and our entire existence here.

So I'm going to experiment being a morning person and a go to bed early person.

51:07

And like, maybe I don't do activities in the evening.

Maybe I look for those activities that happen during the day because they exist.

Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they're not there.

There's other morning people too who want morning activities too, so I'm going to experiment with that.

51:25

And that's just an example of social influence and how it could have impacted your life and how it could have shaped who you think you are.

But when you can get brutally honest with yourself, then you can see, you know what?

Maybe that's not for me anymore.

So that your habits so like your environment and also your system.

51:44

So like I used to be a shower in the morning person and now I'm a shower at night person and I love showering at night because I feel like my bed is always cleaner because I'm always getting into bed with clean skin.

So, and, and the way I was saying how I was using people as a crutch, that or, or money or my ex or whatever, that creates your habits and how you show up every single day.

52:08

And that's a big thing that I have to change too.

Like I can't sleep in and lose half of my day and then still go to bed early and expect that habit to produce my dreams.

I can't leave my power in other people's hands.

52:23

That habit is keeping me from my dreams.

So and then the next point is like your identity, who you think you are, who you think you can be.

I started realizing, too, as part of being brutally honest with myself, that at a young age, when I had my first job at McDonald's, I was I had a bunch of money in my bank account.

52:48

I remember I bought the family a police station for Christmas that year.

And I remember thinking because my family has always had had always shown me kind of a life of, of struggle financially.

And I remember at that time thinking that this wasn't right, that I had all this money and that I was able to, like, buy a police station when that wasn't the example I was taught in life.

53:18

And I really think that identity that shaped my experience with finances moving forward.

I don't think I was too young, dumb and didn't know what I was doing.

And I believed at the time that money was hard to make and that that shaped my reality for the the following, I guess, 25 years.

53:43

So every morning now, I tell myself these five things, Money is safe to have.

Money is good energy.

Money is easy to make.

And again, if you don't have access to your full human GPS, when I said money is easy to make, I felt a pit in my stomach when I said that.

54:04

That's the kind of work that you can do to identify the things that are blocking you.

So I would say so now because I'm doing the energy work and the future self work and all this stuff that I've been saying.

Now when I say money is easy to make, I feel so excited.

54:21

I don't get that pit in my stomach.

So I'm shifting the identity.

When you shift the identity, the reality will follow.

Reality is always behind your inner work.

It'll take a little bit for reality to reflect that because reality is a reflection.

You have to remember reality is a mirror.

54:38

It's mirroring you.

So you change the inners, the outers will happen.

You change your habits, your identity, your beliefs and you get your clear goals.

That's my last one for the blocks and the way your clear goals and the reason behind your goals and your clarity on your direction.

Dashik, Those things get you on your way to making your reality look real.

55:04

But you gotta get those things out of the way.

Oh, here's my plan.

Another horrible, gloriously horrible acronym.

AGCA AG CAA.

So I'm going to audit my current life, which is what I've been saying I'm doing.

55:22

I'm going to notice, I'm going to keep or I'm going to remove.

That's it.

If it doesn't align with who I'm becoming, it's out.

I don't care.

It's out.

If I don't like doing it, it's out.

If I don't want to do it anymore, it's out.

It's gone.

Don't keep things you don't want to do in your life or there's things you don't want to do.

55:42

Like I don't want to do the dishes, but I've actually kind of enjoyed doing the dishes lately.

So like, I love having a clean kitchen and it's so easy to just wash a plate, but if I had a dishwasher I could just throw it in the dishwasher.

So anyway, audit, notice, keep or remove.

55:59

And then the second step is make new goals and set dates and changing physically your goals, like I said, the conditioning and changing your identity around that.

And then that bleeds into Step 2, conditioning yourself to new life and your new slow plan to set in your habits.

56:21

And then as you go, because life will be lifey and you're always changing so it doesn't matter what your end goal is.

These micro goals are the more important ones because the next step is to pivot and adjust as you go using your human GPS.

56:41

So doing regular check-ins towards like your doubts or the social influence or old habits, and then keep anchoring back into your goals with your vibrational healing, aligning your front of mind, all of those things.

56:59

OK, so I've shared with you the blocks getting in the way.

I've shared with you my plan.

Now I'm going to share how I'm going to execute the plan.

So as I've been saying, Oh yeah.

Also has an awful acronym, HID POGGY.

57:18

I think a lot of people have these acronyms for like their systems and stuff and that's fun, but like sometimes it sounds like a stretch and I think I'm just going to lean into sometimes acronyms suck and it's fine.

It's all just fine.

57:34

Plus it's more fun when the acronym is ridiculous.

So there's like 7 steps in this one. 12345 Yeah, there's five in the blocks and then there's five in the plan and then there's seven in the how?

57:52

O as I've been saying, getting really honest with yourself.

You can't get anywhere if you're not honest with yourself.

That can also be one of the blocks, being honest with yourself.

But I guess I have clarity there.

So honesty is clarity, being delulu with your goals because we're not settling.

58:14

We don't do that.

No thank you.

Unsubscribe.

This came as an idea of someone I saw online how they used ChatGPT to make their action steps and this is the difference.

I'm not using Chachi BT as the be all and end all.

58:29

I'm using it as a guide.

As a suggestion, I'm going to tell the robot the plan and then ask him to break it down into monthly steps.

58:45

And then I will.

I'm going to have a weekly goal and a monthly goal, and then I'm going to revisit that goal monthly.

Because if what the goal is next month is not actually the goal, or if I was behind, or if life got in the way, or if I'm ahead, I'm going to pivot as I go, which was one of the points in the plan.

59:07

Always be pivoting.

Um, yeah.

So I'm going to use that GPT to make a balanced plan.

Then I am going to execute the plan daily.

AKA you have to take action and practice.

Like I said about the running and the working out.

59:24

You practice.

So your system sees this as new.

It's like your system now believes that it's possible because it sees this as new habits and it sees it as new possibility.

So then it becomes normal and it becomes your new default safe state.

59:41

So it's like your new reality, conditioning anyway, executing the plan, which is what I've always failed at.

And also I never had chat debt back when I was really goalie because that's new.

Execute the plan then have a reliable system to lean on when the old habits OU like I said about my future self audio and those other audios.

1:00:05

Then use my human GPS to stay on track.

Like I said, pivoting and adjusting as you go.

And lastly, having a reliable system to anchor in my new habits and my identity.

Like I said, future self audio.

Some of these are like overlapping, but I love multipurpose tools.

They're the best, so good.

Anyway, that's all I really have for that for now.

Like you can even take these bones and use them yourself.

1:00:36

I, like I said, I'm going to be working on a workshop to be able to give this to people to follow and then also like resources and stuff.

But I gotta work on that and I gotta get my goals going first.

So this is the best way to get that out there.

And you can follow me on social media if you want daily updates on this challenge at Carolina dot Autumn.

Autumn like the season Carolina with AK.

Now to closeout the episode, I'm going to get an inspirational message from my book.

1:01:11

When I was closing my sound baths, I loved referencing this book.

Journey to the Heart by Melody Beattie.

It's just 365 messages and the message today is bask in self love.

1:01:28

The commitment to love ourselves may be a decision we only need to make once, but we may need to take frequent action to implement that choice.

It's so easy to fall into that place of not loving and accepting ourselves, but it can become just as easy to decide to return to the place we may need to do it daily, weekly, or whenever we begin a new part of our journey, especially a part that frightens or challenges us.

1:01:57

What would feel good?

What would bring healing?

What would energize or comfort you?

And what purpose is to be fulfilled by depriving yourself of that?

However often we need to do it, however often we need to do it, we can return to that place of self love.

1:02:18

Each time we do it, it becomes easier.

Each time we do it, we see the rewards of self love, enhanced creativity, clearer decisions, a stronger connection to the Divine, and a more fulfilling connection to the world around us.

When we love ourselves, it becomes easier to to correct our mistakes, admit our wrongs, share our deepest feelings and love others.

1:02:42

Our spirit dances, thrives, self love energizes us.

It attracts more love.

The Universe responds directly and immediately to our choice to love ourselves.

Accept yourself.

Love yourself just as you are.

1:02:58

Your finest work, your best moments, your joy, your peace and healing come when you love yourself, you give a great gift to the world.

When you do that you give others permission to do the same, to love themselves.

Revel in self love role in it.

1:03:15

Bask in it as you would the sunshine again, we have another golden passage because this is exactly what I, what I was saying about pie and it's exactly what the human GPS system gives you because it reorients you.

1:03:32

It, it, it really does come down to self love.

And if you've always hated yourself, like I used to go around saying, I wouldn't even be friends with myself.

So if you always used to hate yourself, maybe don't strive for love, but strive for acceptance.

If you can accept yourself where you are, that's the small step, the increment to getting to love and having something like the human GPS to Orient you when you're still figuring it all out.

1:03:58

That's the kind of thing that you lean on and then everything becomes possible because you've accessed your power.

That's what that passage says for me, so I hope it inspired you like it inspired me.

I hope you'll stick around and follow my journey and see if I fail gloriously or succeed gloriously.

1:04:16

I feel deep down that this is exactly what I've been missing my whole life, so rising gloriously to the task at hand.

Anyway, thank you so much for being here.

All your dreams are possible and I will see you in the next one.

1:04:31

Bye.
